Apply For Assistance

We’re here to help—because no one should have to figure it out alone. Applying for assistance with It Takes A Village: SMP is simple and respectful.


Application Process:

Step 1: Submit an Application- Fill out our assistance application form online. You’ll be asked for basic information about your household and the type of help you need (food, clothing, utilities, special assistance, etc.).

Step 2: Review Process- Our team reviews applications in the order they are received. This process may take up to 3 business days, not including after-hours applications and weekends. Because we are community-funded, assistance depends on available donations and volunteers at the time the application is received.

Step 3: We Contact You- If we are able to help, someone from our team will contact you by phone or email. We may ask a few follow-up questions to better understand your needs.

Step 4: Receive Assistance- Once approved, we will let you know how and when you will receive help. This could be through pickup, delivery, or referral to another trusted organization.


Important Things to Know

  • Assistance is based on availability of funds and donations. Not all approved applications can be fulfilled fully.
  • Families can typically receive help once per quarter.
  • We may not be able to help with every request, but we will always try to refer you to other resources.
  • All information shared is kept private and confidential.
